From Chicago's Sunday Sun Times, February 20, 1983.
Margo Hoff held her first solo show at Fairweather Hardin Gallery in 1955 (she also had one-man shows in Paris and New York City that year), which continued to enthusiastically represent her in the Chicago area until it closed its doors in approximately 1990. The Gallery and its fascinating co-founders, Sally Fairweather and Shirley Hardin, were profiled in the the article posted here.
Note: The cover of the Sunday newspaper's Living Section features Sally Fairweather (right) and Shirley Hardin (left). The painting behind them is one by Margo Hoff, "Vermilion Banner" 1982, canvas collage, 80" by 66", which is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City.
