"The Clown" 1956, Oil, 40"x30", Collection: Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC
BnF (Bibliotheque Nationale de France), Paris, France lists in their collection a piece by Margo Hoff titled "L'Homme et la puce" 1956, a woodblock print. "L'Homme et la puce" literally translates as "Man and Flea" but is more likely a mistranslation of "Boy and Bug" (pictured), a very popular artwork by Ms. Hoff. On a side note, a copy of this print comes up in a contentious lawsuit related to the will/estate of composer Ivan Tcherepnin [Иван Александрович Черепнин] (http://masscases.com/cases/app/70/70massappct218.html). If you go to the link and search "Hoff" you can read the pertinent passage.
